KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resources Ministry will introduce an air quality index for the office soon in its move to create healthy, smoke-free workplaces by May next year.
“We are currently looking at international guidelines introduced by the ILO (International Labour Organisation) and will discuss the issue with employers and their representatives, as well as the workers themselves in the next two months before we finalise the guidelines,” its minister Datuk Dr Fong Chan Onn said yesterday.
