KOTA KINABALU: About an hour’s drive from here, in a small town call Tenghilan, young nuns of the Good Shepherd Sisters struggle to give youth from the surrounding villages education that could give them better prospects in life.
For close to eight years now, the sisters have run the St James Girls' Hostel, an after-school care centre for six to 12 year olds in the nearby village of Soromboton.
