ALL SET TO SAIL: More than 30 teachers who won the Win a Cruise! contest began their four-day, three-night holiday on board the SuperStar Virgo yesterday.

The cruise to Phuket and Langkawi includes day excursions to both destinations and lots of fun-filled activities on board.

Jointly organised by The Star and Pizza Hut, the contest rewards teachers who produced a four to eight-page scrapbook highlighting some of their English language activities, including NiE (Newspaper in Education) lessons along with samples of the students’ work.

The contest was open to English teachers from primary and secondary schools nationwide that subscribe to The Star on a regular basis for NiE.

While enjoying the sun and sea, and tucking into the food, the teachers will also brainstorm for NiE activities. Accompanying them on the cruise is Star-NiE trainer Lucille Dass.
