KOTA KINABALU: Military authorities here have not detected any intrusion into the country by any armed group and believe suspected Abu Sayyaf leader Khadaffy Janjalani is still in the Philippines.
There is no truth to reports that Khadaffy had escaped to Malaysia, said Fifth Infantry Brigade commander Brig Jen Mohd Shahrin Abdul Majid, refuting reports that the rebel leader had slipped into Sabah while escaping a military crackdown in central Mindanao.
