PUTRAJAYA: The Immigration Department foils at least 15 attempts a week by syndicates trying to smuggle people with forged passports of various nations through the KL International Airport (KLIA).
Home Affairs Minister Datuk Azmi Khalid, describing the situation as serious and saying the matter would be brought up to the Cabinet, urged the police to be thorough in their investigations as the syndicates are believed to be producing forged passports in Malaysia.
