KUALA LUMPUR: Zoo Negara is appealing to its neighbours to help maintain peace and tranquillity, especially in the night, to thwart unnecessary stress to the animals in its charge.
Zoo Negara chairman Datuk Ismail Hutson made this appeal to the zoos neighbours, in response to the recent spate of firecrackers landing in the enclosures of several animals, causing panic among them and resulting in some minor injury to several African red Lechewe antelopes and giraffes.
