KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will have a new principal conductor and artistic adviser Matthias Bamert, from Switzerland in August next year.
Bamert, 62, will succeed Dutch conductor Kees Bakels, the MPOs inaugural artistic leader who has been at the helm of the orchestra since it began performances six years ago.
