KUALA LUMPUR: The saga for the control of DRB-HICOM Bhd is getting no closer to resolution in the wake of two conflicting statements by Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary and Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin – the two bidders for the strategic 15.8% stake in the company.
Hopes of an amicable solution emerged yesterday evening when Syed Mokhtar issued a statement saying he was prepared for a compromise involving the divestment of the auto business in DRB-HICOM to a consortium led by Nasimuddin.
