KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) has received sponsorship worth RM42,500 from five companies and the Pahang Barisan Nasional for the Malaysian Press Night to be held at Dewan Perdana Felda here on Dec 7.
The cheques from Naza Kia Sdn Bhd (for RM10,000), UEM World Bhd (RM7,500), Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (RM5,000), Tenaga Nasional Bhd (RM5,000) and AmMerchant Bank Bhd (RM5,000) were handed over to MPI deputy chairman Abdul Jalil Ali.
