MUAR: Traders at the markets here can be fined up to RM15,000 if they are convicted of violating the ceiling price ruling during the festive season up to Nov 21.
District Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs enforcement director Abdul Halim Abdul Karim warned that they could also face the maximum compound of RM7,500 for each item sold above the controlled price.
