Bleak Deepavali for 26 Negri families

COME Deepavali, 26 families in Kampung Bagan Pinang, near Port Dickson in Negri Sembilan, will have nowhere to go. They are afraid they might not even have a home to celebrate the festive occasion as their landlord has issued them with two weeks' eviction notice, reported Tamil Nesan. 

The daily reported that the landowner has asked the families, who had been living there for more than 30 years, to vacate the land by Friday although their agreement expires only next month.
