KUCHING: Plantations in Sarawak should give better pay and fringe benefits to attract more local workers and reduce their dependency on foreigners, Sarawak Labour Council president William Ghani Bina said.
He said locals were reluctant to work in land development ventures because of low salaries despite having the relevant qualification and skills.
