KUALA LUMPUR: Two political parties traded verbal insults over a move by Parti Keadilan Rakyat to hang up banners at a pedestrian bridge here calling for the resignation of Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu.

However, after about 30 minutes, policemen headed by the officer in charge of the Dang Wangi police station, C/Insp Md Noor Eahwan, stepped in to defuse the heated arguments between Keadilan and MIC supporters.
