SHAH ALAM: A resident of Taman Selatan, Klang has filed a writ at the High Court against the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) for approving the construction of a Rukun Tetangga centre at the housing estate’s public field cum playground area.

In his petition filed on Oct 7, before High Court Judge Datuk Alizatul Khair Osman Khairuddin, Dr Mohd Ismail Abdul Hamid, 46, who resides at 11 Jalan Palas, Taman Selatan, said the construction of the Rukun Tetangga centre at the 1.2ha field in Jalan Jelutong is unlawful under provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (TCPA) and thus the project should be declared null and void.
