DETAINEES in police lock-ups can escape easily because the facilities are “very old” and overcrowded, said Internal Security Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Abu Seman Yusop.
In reply to Ronald Kiandee (BN – Beluran), he said the other reason was because some of the lock-ups had toilets outside the cell and this helped to increase their chances of escaping.
