Motorcyclist killed in freak accident

IPOH: A motorcyclist was killed and two others were seriously injured when the machines they were travelling on rammed into a trailer in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. 

Sulaiman Meor Abdul Rahman, 34, an EPF employee from Kampung Tersusun, Chemor, died on the spot during the 8.10am incident yesterday. 

His body was sent to the Ipoh Hospital for a post-mortem. 

The other two motorcyclists, whose identities were still withheld, sustained head and body injuries.  

State traffic chief Supt Hamza Taib said the incident was believed to have occurred when the driver of the trailer, which was heading towards Chemor, lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the opposite lane. 

It then collided into the three motorcyclists who were heading towards Ipoh. 

Police had recorded the statement of the lorry driver who is in his 30s after he lodged a report.
