KUALA LUMPUR: Local musicians now have another avenue to air their music with the launch of Xfresh FMs.
The radio station will only feature local artistes and their music.
We are very excited to be able to provide a platform for new contemporary Malaysian music and talent, as well as showcase the developing next generation of artistes, said Xfresh FMs general manager Terence Declan Dorairaj.
The stations medium will be Malay and it will feature urban-based music, pop, rock, hip hop, alternative and some underground tracks in Malay, English, Chinese and Tamil.
So long as it is Malaysian and conforms to regulations, we will try to play it, said AMP Radio Networks executive director Borhanuddin Osman whose company operates and manages hitz.fm, MIX FM, MY FM, ERA FM, Sinar FM, Light and Easy and now Xfresh FM as well.
The station can be found on 103.0FM in the Klang Valley, 106.5 FM in Penang, Kedah and Perlis and 107.3 in Malacca.
The new channel will commence on Sept 28.
