LIMBANG: Strict and unrelenting enforcement by the state authorities has reduced significantly prostitution in Limbang town, which for decades had been tagged the “sin capital” of Sarawak.

Limbang town, which has a population of about 30,000, is the main transit point between Brunei and Sabah. Not so long ago, prostitutes could be seen everywhere in the town, openly soliciting for clients along five-foot ways, entrances to pubs and karaoke joints as well as in sleazy motels and inns.
