KUALA LUMPUR: Perwaja Terengganu Sdn Bhd board of directors never approved the RM76.4mil payment to NKK Corporation, Japan, for providing technical assistance at the Beam and Section Mill in Gurun, Kedah, the Sessions Court heard yesterday.
Former Perwaja Terengganu Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Zainal Abidin Sulong said the board was neither aware of nor gave clearance for the payment made by its subsidiary, Perwaja Rolling Mill and Development Sdn Bhd.
