THE commercial crime division of the police force will be made a department in view of increasing losses of over RM3.6bil from such crimes between 2000 and August this year.
Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar said the losses consisted of 49,286 cases, most of which involved fraud, during the period.
