Snatch theft accused changes plea and claims trial

SHAH ALAM: An alleged high-flying snatch thief who had earlier pleaded guilty to four charges of theft and keeping stolen items caught everyone by surprise when he appeared in a Sessions Court here with two lawyers and claimed trial. 

Abdul Khalid Hamid, 45, also pleaded not guilty to an additional charge under Section 411 of the Penal Code for alleged possession of a stolen motorcycle at Jalan USJ6/2 in Subang Jaya at 9am on Aug 4.
