The Mercy Malaysia assessment team, which went to the El Geneina refugee camp in West Darfur, Sudan, was taken aback by the kind of coverage given to the humanitarian crisis there. Team leader DR HENG AIK CHENG writes 

THE sky suddenly darkens. You can see the approaching rain in this flat land and it is coming fast. First, a strong wind followed by a sandstorm, then large drops of rain and sheets of water so dense that visibility is reduced to 100m.
