PETALING JAYA: The Veterinary Services Department will carry out a campaign to educate villagers living in areas bordering Thailand against bringing in any birds – be it as food or pets – from across the border.
Department director-general Datuk Dr Hawari Hussein said the department, in collaboration with agencies like the Customs and border patrol units, had also stepped up surveillance on the movement of people and animals near the border.
