KUALA LUMPUR: Rumours that the authorities were looking at a “questionable” RM76.4mil payment to NKK Corporation, Japan, prompted a former Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd corporate accounting director to verify the transaction, the Sessions Court heard yesterday.
Kong Keng Hee, 66, said he had heard of the rumours in the third quarter of 1994.
