KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional is all for the proposed merger of two of its Kadazandusun parties – United Pasok Momogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko) and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) – while Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) feels the tie-up will not be a threat.
State Barisan secretary Datuk Karim Bujang said yesterday the merger would let the two parties consolidate the strength of their communities and reduce politicking in the state.
