SKUDAI: Public universities are becoming like “hypermarkets,” offering too many courses or disciplines under one roof when they should be specialising in niche courses, said Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Shafie Mohd Salleh.
He said through specialisation, universities would be able to produce quality graduates, thus attracting more foreign students to Malaysia.
