IPOH: Fear was a daily companion for decorated soldiers Li Kim Yong, 75, P. Veerasingham, 67, and Cha Kok Hong, 65, when they first arrived as young men in Congo, Africa, in 1962 in the midst of a civil war.
The three friends from the First Royal Armoured Corp had been among the 5,000 men taking part in Malaysias first UN mission where they were assigned to keep peace.
