KOTA KINABALU: Investigations are being carried out by the Department of Environment to ascertain the cause and extent of an oil slick resulting from a punctured pipeline of Shell’s St Joseph platform about 35km from here.
Sabah DOE director Halimah Hassan said they received a report from the Sabah Shell Petroleum Company on Thursday’s oil slick of about 2.8km long and 30m wide that was heading towards the South China Sea.
