Oil slick being monitored

KOTA KINABALU: Officials of a petroleum company are tracking an oil slick, about 2.8km long and about 30m wide, north of Sabah following a punctured pipeline at the St Joseph petroleum production platform about 35km from Kota Belud district. 

Sabah Shell Petroleum company spokesman said the company had activated its emergency response team to keep an eye on the slick that was moving towards the South China Sea.
