Nik Aziz safe after heart surgery

KOTA BARU: Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, who suffered an acute heart attack on Thursday morning, has recovered following an operation carried out at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Hospital near here. 

There were, however, brief moments of fear when the Mentri Besar’s heart stopped at about 11am and again at 3.15pm but the swift and expert action of the surgeons, led by Datuk Dr Rosli Md Ali of the National Heart Institute, saved the situation.
