Doc: Most Muslims still fear to donate organs

BERITA HARIAN highlighted a report about the low percentage of Muslims donating their organs despite a ruling by National Fatwa Council since 1973 on the obligation to do so. 

Selayang Hospital's Nephrology Department head and consultant specialist Dr Ghazali Ahmad told the daily that only 3.7% of the 29,000 donors in the country were Muslims, a percentage that has remained the same for the past four years.
