PETALING JAYA: Two divisions – Kota Melaka and Muar – created history of sorts when elections for the two top posts ended in a draw, forcing fresh voting at a date to be announced later.

For the Kota Melaka division vice-chairman’s post, Datuk Dr Baba Deni, 49, who was shot in the buttocks while in Iraq as a member of the Malaysian Medical Relief Society (Mercy) team earlier this year, and lawyer Ibrahim Fadzil , 42, obtained 181 votes each.
