TIES between Malaysia and Singapore have improved and become “more matured” despite criticisms by a backbencher that Malaysia was not “aggressive” in pursuing the rights of its citizens in the republic.
In a written reply to Dr Wee Ka Siong (BN – Ayer Hitam), Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said ties between the two countries had improved and the issues had to be settled through negotiations in a neighbourly spirit.
