Cops launch ‘Ops Rattler’ to clear Penang of vice

PENANG: An operation codenamed Ops Rattler has been launched to clear the state of gaming machines, bookies, and gambling and vice operators, said state CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Abdul Rahim Jani. 

“I have already directed the five district anti-vice chiefs to gather intelligence on these people and also raid video arcades with gaming machines,” he said, adding that since June 16, a total of 49 gaming machines had been confiscated and 14 people arrested.
