KUALA LUMPUR: Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) successfully carried out a 12-hour operation to amputate the badly infected right leg of Klippel Trenaunay Webber (KTW) Syndrome patient Saiful Azhar Noordin on Monday, a task no other hospital in the country dared to undertake.
HUKM director Prof Dr Mohamad Abd Razak said a team of 12 specialists and surgeons operated on Saiful Azahar who was airlifted from Penang on April 8.
