MIRI: The Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid joined some 40,000 people from more than a dozen ethnic groups in Sarawak to celebrate the National Gawai Dayak Open House yesterday.
The royal couple were accompanied by Sarawak Head of State Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Chief Minister Tan Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud and several federal ministers and state ministers.
