Suspect in cheating cases escapes from police custody

KUALA LUMPUR: A woman detainee who is wanted for several cheating cases amounting close to RM1mil gave police the slip at the University Malaya Medical Centre here. 

The 37-year-old detainee, who was supposed to be charged in Penang yesterday for a cheating case, escaped from police custody when she was sent for treatment at the medical centre after she complained of feeling unwell.
