KUALA LUMPUR: The move by Tun Abdul Razak to establish ties with China in 1974 fits aptly with the Chinese saying “When you drink water, never forget the person who dug the well”, said Chinese ambassador Wang Chungui.
“With his foresight and sagacity, he established diplomatic ties with China ahead of other Asean countries, opening a new chapter in the history of China-Malaysia relationship,” he said.
