Special licence for timber products

KOTA KINABALU: A requirement for Sabah exporters to obtain a special licence before they can ship timber products to the European Union market will discourage illegal logging in the state, Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman said. 

He said the state welcomed the requirement that came in the wake of the EU’s action plan for forest law enforcement, governance and trade (FLEGT) last year.
