THE number of tourist arrivals had increased by 57.3% to 5.2 million in the first four months of the year compared to 3.3 million from January to April last year, Tourism Minister Datuk Dr Leo Michael Toyad said.
“This was following the aggressive promotional efforts by Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia offices worldwide,'' he said when winding up the debate on the motion of thanks on the royal address.
