BEIJING: Malaysia has proposed an East Asia Summit to be held to discuss international security co-operation in socio-economic matters.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Malaysia and China should co-operate in setting the agenda for a new era of regional co-operation not only in security matters but also in socio-economic areas.
