KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Dr Chua Soi Lek will propose to the Cabinet that the public universities offering medical courses increase their intake and admit the 128 top-scoring students in the STPM and matriculation examinations who had been denied admissions.
“There are six public universities with the facilities to conduct the medical course. If each takes in another 20, I'm sure this (problem) can be solved,” he said in an interview here.
