KUCHING: The huge rocks in several stretches of the upper Rajang River in Pelagus and Balleh, which obstruct the passage of passenger boats during low tide may be removed by blasting.
Sarawak Rivers Board chairman Richard Riot Jaem said it was studying the possibility of carrying out a rock-blasting exercise to deepen these stretches of the river.
