KOTA KINABALU: Day in, day out for almost eight months, the four half-starved and exhausted Borneo Paradise hostages slept under the open sky on the cold and wet ground and were bitten by leeches and mosquitoes.
“Not once did I think we would come out alive. I thought I was fated to die in the jungle,” said 59-year-old carpenter Arsyad Sagoni, who thanked God for giving him a second life.
