KUALA LUMPUR: On Thursday and on another occasion due in July, the sun will be directly above the Kaabah, which provides the central point (or kiblat) for the direction of prayers for Muslims.
In a statement here, the Malaysian Islamic Advancement Department (Jakim) said Muslims in Malaysia would be able to check the kiblat at 5.18pm on Thursday and at 5.27pm on July 15.
