Lack of copters hinders search for missing students

MIRI: Search and rescue efforts to locate four missing students whose longboat capsizedin the interior of northern Sarawak on Sunday have been seriously hampered by the lack of rescue helicopters. 

The police and the Fire and Rescue Department are finding it hard to carry out any co-ordinated search and rescue effort because they have no quick access to the scene of the boat tragedy at Long Akar, a remote settlement accessible now only by river transport.
