Backbenchers to take a “buddy” to ensure ‘quorum

PETALING JAYA: Backbenchers will be required to take a “buddy” in the latest move to ensure that attendance in the Dewan Rakyat always meets the required quorum, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz. 

To be implemented during the first meeting of the 11th Parliamentary session beginning today, Nazri said another new move would have Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi answering questions pertaining to the Prime Minister’s Department twice a week.
