PENANG: Sundry goods shop owner Ong Ve Cheng is a lone figure at the new Macallum Street Ghaut wholesale market, although the place was issued a Certificate of Fitness (CF) three years ago.
While sceptics may think it is a case of fools rushing in where angels fear to trade, the 38-year-old wholesaler from the former century-old Sia Boey market is optimistic of good business at the new premises.
