C/Insp Zailani Bohari, who was assigned to investigate the missing person report lodged by Canny’s mother Pearley Visvanathan on June 13, said under cross-examination that the victim’s family members and friends, including her best friend Noreen Natasya Mohd Noor Ajala, could not tell whether Canny had made the call or someone had called her.
