KUALA LUMPUR is expected to face extreme urban poverty in the next five years as migration from other states increases, according to a front-page report in Utusan Malaysia.
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysias Institute for Environment and Development senior fellow Prof Chamhuri Siwar told the daily that increasingly limited job opportunities, housing and basic amenities in Kuala Lumpur would cause extreme poverty.
